Luangwa National Park is a well-known natural area that is home to many wild animals, from large African bush elephants to small genets.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in South Luangwa through Mfuwe International Airport
When you arrive at Mfuwe International Airport, a professional guide will meet you and drive you to South Luangwa National Park. The drive takes about 34 minutes. On arrival in the park, you will continue to your lodge.
Check in and relax while enjoying the views of the plants and animals around the lodge. Later in the afternoon, a tasty lunch will be served. After lunch, continue to rest in your room.
In the evening, rangers will offer an optional walking safari through the grasslands. You may see animals like leopards, lions, elands, warthogs, buffaloes, and zebras.
Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and rest overnight.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in South Luangwa National Park
After breakfast, go on a guided morning game drive in the park. This drive will take you through wide open areas that are good for taking photos.
You may see different wild animals, especially the big cats that are often active early in the morning. Look out for servals, jackals, genets, lions, leopards, and hyenas.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch at midday. In the afternoon, go on another drive in a different part of the park to see more animals and birds.
Return to the lodge at sunset. You’ll have time to freshen up before dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Full Day in South Luangwa – Game Drive, Mountain Biking & Canoe Rides
Start the day with an early breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, set off on a guided morning game drive to spot more animals that live in South Luangwa.
Later in the morning, head to Chapinda Hills for a mountain biking activity. This ride will give you a good view of the park from above, including herds of buffaloes and elephants.
Return to the lodge at midday for lunch. After lunch, relax at the lodge and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
In the evening, go to the Luangwa River Valley for a canoe ride. This activity will let you see more birds and animals that come to the river to drink water.
Afterward, return to the lodge for dinner and spend the night there.
Day 4: Departure from South Luangwa through Mfuwe International Airport
Enjoy an early breakfast while watching the sunrise and taking in the views of the park. After your meal, check out of the lodge and drive to Mfuwe International Airport.
The drive takes about 34 minutes. At the airport, you will catch your flight home, ending your safari.
