Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Windhoek to Sossusvlei
Your guide will meet you at Windhoek airport and start the drive to Sossusvlei. Along the way, you will learn about Namibia. When you arrive, check in at your lodge where the friendly staff will serve you a tasty dinner. Enjoy lunch while admiring the park’s beauty, which will help you appreciate its natural gifts.
In the evening, you will take a sightseeing tour through the desert plains. During this tour, you can take photos of the desert scenery. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Explore Sossusvlei (Desert walk and excursion to Sesriem Canyon)
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will take a walk through the dry desert plains. Here, you may see animals that live in this semi-desert, such as aardvarks, gemsbok, springbok, oryx, meerkats, aardwolves, oribi, bat-eared foxes, Namaqua chameleons, and leopard tortoises. Spend the morning watching these animals. When it gets hotter around midday, return to the lodge to relax and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, you will visit Sesriem Canyon. This area is great for sightseeing and photography. You will see the canyon and the old sedimentary rocks shaped by the Tsauchab River many years ago. Return to the lodge at sunset. Relax on your balcony while enjoying views of the desert and sipping your favorite drink. Dinner will be served before you rest for the night.
Day 3: Sossusvlei to Swakopmund (National Marine Aquarium)
Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge, then pack and check out. You will drive about five hours to Swakopmund for more adventures. When you arrive, check into your hotel and relax while enjoying views of the town. At midday, you will have lunch.
After lunch, visit the National Marine Aquarium. This place is popular for photography and gives you a chance to see marine life and rare creatures found in the Atlantic Ocean.
Take photos of yourself with the sea creatures to remember this special time. After the visit, return to your hotel at sunset, relax, enjoy the town’s nightlife, and stay overnight.
Day 4: Swakopmund full-day exploration (Museum and camel rides)
Start your day with a good breakfast, then visit the Swakopmund Museum. Here, you will learn about Namibia’s ancient people. Guides will explain each artifact, making the visit interesting and rewarding. Take photos with the exhibits.
At midday, have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, go to the Swakopmund camel farm. Here, you can enjoy camel rides that add fun to your trip. Take pictures while riding camels and enjoy the views around Swakopmund.
Return to your hotel at sunset, relax on your balcony, watch the sun go down, and enjoy dinner before your overnight stay.
Day 5: Swakopmund to Etosha National Park (Southern sector)
After breakfast, check out and start the drive to the southern part of Etosha National Park. The trip takes about five hours. When you arrive, take a slow drive through the park to see animals, especially the Big Five.
At midday, return to your lodge for lunch and rest. In the evening, go on a walking safari near the lodge to see rare birds, plants, and animals. You might spot leopard tortoises, bat-eared foxes, meerkats, aardwolves, oribis, and springboks. Take photos of the flat grasslands and animals. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Explore Etosha National Park
Enjoy breakfast at sunrise, then go on a morning game drive with your guide. This is another chance to see the Big Five and other hunters like servals, genets, spotted hyenas, and snakes.
Return to the lodge at midday to rest and have lunch. In the afternoon, go on another game drive to see more plants and animals in the park. At dusk, return to the lodge, have dinner, and stay overnight.
Day 7: Leave Etosha National Park, return to Windhoek
Start the day with breakfast, then check out of the lodge and drive back to Windhoek. The drive takes about four hours. In Windhoek, you will catch your flight home, ending this exciting safari.
