4-Day Sossusvlei & Coast, Sandwich Harbour Experience – This tour takes you through the Naukluft mountain range, home to some of the tallest red dunes in the world found in the Namib Desert.
You will visit Namibia’s main seaside town, Swakopmund, where many activities are available to join. The tour also includes the famous Sandwich Harbour, where the sea meets the land.
On the last day, you will enjoy an exciting paragliding activity.
Day 1: Windhoek – Sesriem – Sossusvlei (Namib Desert)
When you arrive at Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport, our representative or tour guide will meet you. Your journey begins with a scenic drive through beautiful landscapes and the Naukluft mountain range.
You will reach the Sesriem area, where you will stay for the night. The afternoon is free for you to relax. Dinner will be served at Namib Desert Lodge or a similar place.
Day 2: Sossusvlei – Swakopmund
You will wake up very early before sunrise to visit the famous dunes at Sossusvlei, known as some of the highest in the world. If you feel energetic, you can climb to the top of a dune before returning to your lodge for rest. Remember to bring your camera because the views are very beautiful.
After visiting the dunes, you will travel northwest to the seaside towns of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund on the Skeleton Coast. You will leave the dune fields and return to the mountain desert.
You will cross the Tropic of Capricorn and can take photos there if you want. Then, you will cross the wide Namib gravel plains before reaching the coastal sand dunes near Walvis Bay.
There will be time to see flamingos and other birds at the Walvis Bay lagoon before you continue to Swakopmund.
Day 3: Swakopmund (Day of activities)
After breakfast, your guide will take you to Walvis Bay by 7:30 am to start a half-day tour to Sandwich Harbour. You will ride in a 4×4 vehicle along the Walvis Bay lagoon and salt mines in the Namib Naukluft Park.
After the tour, you return to the waterfront and then drive back to Swakopmund. Lunch can be enjoyed either in Walvis Bay or Swakopmund, depending on what you and your guide prefer.
The rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax or explore Swakopmund on foot. Later, you will freshen up and have dinner at one of the town’s well-known restaurants. The rest of the night is free for rest.
Day 4: Swakopmund to Windhoek (Departure)
On your last day, you will take part in an exciting paragliding activity offered between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. A local guide will meet you, explain the activity, and then you will enjoy your flight.
Afterward, you return to the meeting point and drive back to Swakopmund.
From there, you will travel back to Windhoek. You will stop for lunch on the way. You will also visit the Okahandja Craft Market for some last-minute shopping.
If time allows, you can do more shopping before being taken to the airport.
You will arrive in Windhoek late, and your guide will drop you off at your accommodation. This marks the end of your safari, where you will say your final goodbyes to your guide.
