This safari tour will show you the natural wonders of Madagascar. You will visit Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park, Baobab Alley, and Nosy Be Island with its surroundings.
You may see many types of lemurs and other wildlife. You will also visit Madagascar’s capital city, its markets, and travel on its roads.
Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo
When you arrive at the airport, we will be waiting for you with a sign showing your name. We will warmly welcome you and then drive you to your hotel in Antananarivo.
There, you will get information about your trip and can ask any questions.
Day 2: Queen’s Palace & Drive to Antsirabe
After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Queen’s Palace to learn about Madagascar’s monarchy. Then, we will go to the market where you will see many colorful products and learn about the Malagasy way of life.
After that, we will drive to Antsirabe. On the way, we will stop at Ambatolampy, known for its pot factory. When we reach Antsirabe, we will take a city tour.
You can have dinner at the hotel or in a town restaurant. You will spend the night at Vatolahy Hotel.
Day 3: Antsirabe City Tour & Drive Toward Morondava
After breakfast, we will do a city tour of Antsirabe, the third-largest city in Madagascar. Then we will visit Toamasina, the main seaport, where we will see the Zebu Horn Factory and miniatures that the city is famous for.
We will also take a rickshaw ride along the main street. Next, we will drive southwest on National Road 34 toward Morondava. On the way, we will stop many times to take pictures of the mountains, zebus, gold mining, and village life.
Day 4: Drive to Bekopaka Through Baobab Alley
After breakfast, we will head to Bekopaka village, the entrance to Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. We will drive through Baobab Alley, a very special place. We will stop here briefly to feel the beauty of this place.
Then, we will drive through the baobab forest, passing several villages and crossing two rivers by ferry. At Belo sur Tsiribihina, we will stop for lunch.
After lunch, we continue to Bekopaka. Before reaching Bekopaka, we cross the Manambolo River by ferry. Then, we drive about 30 minutes to the Olympe du Bemaraha Hotel where we will spend the night.
Day 5: Exploring Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park
Today, we will explore the amazing Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. It is home to many lemurs, birds, and reptiles. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the largest protected area in Madagascar.
We will see the cathedral rock from the viewpoint, walk on the hanging bridge, and spot animals like the sifaka lemur, common brown lemur, wild birds, and the fossa, the largest carnivore in Madagascar.
We will also see native plants like the palissandre tree. After lunch, we will visit the smaller part of the park. We will stay another night at Olympe du Bemaraha Hotel.
Day 6: Visit the In-love Baobab & Sunset at Baobab Alley
After breakfast, we will drive south to Morondava. On the way, we will visit the “In-love Baobab,” two large baobab trees that have grown together. This tree is a symbol of love, and many couples come here to renew their vows.
Then, we will watch the famous sunset at Baobab Alley. These baobabs have lived here for about 800 years and are one of Madagascar’s main attractions.
After the sunset, we will continue to Morondava, check into our hotel, and rest for the night.
Day 7: Return to Antsirabe
After breakfast, we will drive back to Antsirabe. On the way, we will visit many villages and schools. You can enjoy the half-desert landscape or relax in the car.
We will spend the night again at Vatolahy Hotel.
Day 8: Drive Back to Antananarivo
After a late breakfast, we will drive back to Antananarivo. You will enjoy the nice scenery on the way and have lunch at a well-known restaurant where you can try duck liver and other dishes.
We will spend the night at Le Tripolitsa Hotel.
Day 9: Flight to Nosy Be
After breakfast, depending on the flight schedule, we will drive to Ivato Airport for a domestic flight to Nosy Be Island. On arrival, we will check into Sable Blanc Hotel.
You will have free time to explore Nosy Be or relax.
Day 10: Free Day at Nosy Be
Today is a free day. You can relax on the beach, explore more of Nosy Be, or take part in activities like visiting nearby islands, kayaking, or snorkeling. We will stay overnight at Sable Blanc Hotel again.
Day 11: Day Trip to Nosy Iranja
After breakfast, we will go to the Nosy Be port and take a speed boat to Nosy Iranja. The trip takes about one and a half hours. Nosy Iranja is a beautiful island and one of Madagascar’s best.
You will have lunch here, mainly seafood. You can snorkel and visit the local village during your day on the island.
Day 12: Return to Antananarivo & City Tour
After breakfast, we will drive to the airport and fly back to Antananarivo. When we arrive, we will check into the hotel.
Then, we will visit the upper city area, the Manjakamiadana Palace, and the Andafiavaratra Museum, which show Madagascar’s history.
Day 13: Shopping & Departure
On the last day, you will have a free morning to shop for souvenirs like Malagasy crafts, spices, and vanilla. After shopping, we will drive to Ivato International Airport.
We will arrive at least two hours before your flight time. Then you will board your flight home. We wish you a safe journey.
