You can make your honeymoon special by visiting Madagascar for an adventure full of unique experiences you will not find anywhere else. Explore the streets of Madagascar’s capital, Antananarivo, known for its rich architecture.
Then spend some relaxing time on white sandy beaches. Visit the lush rainforests of Anjajavy, home to many animals including jumping lemurs and ancient baobab trees.

Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo & Hotel Stay
When you arrive at Ivato International Airport, an English-speaking guide will meet and welcome you. You will be taken to Maison Gallieni, your hotel for the night.
Relax and unwind or explore the city of Tana. The mansion was built in 1879 on the site of an old granite quarry and once hosted Madagascar’s first bank.
Sitting on a hill in the heart of the capital, it offers a clear view of the town.
This afternoon you can relax by the pool or explore the colorful city of Antananarivo, known locally as Tana.
Day 2: Flight to Anjajavy & Night Walk
After a tasty early breakfast, you will be transferred to Ivato Airport to catch your domestic flight to Anjajavy. A hotel representative will meet you and take you to Anjajavy Lodge on Madagascar’s northwest coast.
From your hotel balcony, you can see the Indian Ocean and the nearby green forests full of lemurs, chameleons, and hummingbirds.
In the evening, you may take an exciting night walk to see wild animals such as playful Coquerel’s sifakas and tiny Danfoss’s mouse lemurs.
You might hear the strange calls of the Grewcock’s sportive lemur and spot other animals like Commerson’s leaf-nosed bat, the Tsingy tufted-tailed rat, and the elusive fossa, Madagascar’s largest predator.
Day 3: Walking Safari & Cave Visit
After breakfast, take a walking safari along the Crab’s Path (Chemin des Crabes). You will see ancient baobab trees, the hairy crab, and many birds like the bright red fody, Souimanga sunbird, paradise flycatcher, Madagascar fish eagle, crested ibis, and the rare Madagascar sacred ibis.
You will also visit a cave with historical treasures such as stalactites, shark teeth, and a fossilized lemur skull.
Return to the lodge for lunch, then enjoy free time by the infinity pool or take a swim. You can also explore the private coves near the lodge.
Day 4: Walk Along King’s Alley & Giant’s Causeway
After breakfast, take a long walk along King’s Alley and Giant’s Causeway. You will see ancient baobab trees and Tsingy rock formations, which are found only on this island.
Watch Coquerel’s sifakas, a special type of lemur that moves by bouncing like a small kangaroo.
These sifakas and other lemurs, like the common brown lemur, live freely in the lodge gardens and nearby reserve.
After the walk, return for a buffet lunch set in a green area full of Madagascar’s plants. You will enjoy watching birds such as Souimanga sunbirds and Malagasy kingfishers.
Frogs and chameleons live near the pond, and lemurs often leap through the tree canopy.
Day 5: Activities & Village Visits
Choose from many land and water activities. You may take trips to nearby islands and nature reserves, go scuba diving, snorkeling, quad biking, or fishing.
Visit the cave of the Sakalava to see Madagascar bats among the stalagmites and stalactites, or relax on a quiet beach along the Anjajavy Peninsula with a romantic picnic.
Visit Antafiamoara to see the Giant tortoises that were brought back to the Anjajavy Reserve in 2018 after 750 years of extinction.
You can also visit the villages of Anjajavy and Ambodro Ampasy, where you can explore markets full of handmade crafts.
Day 6: Return to Antananarivo & Departure
This is the last day of your amazing Madagascar honeymoon. Enjoy an early breakfast, then meet your guide who will take you to the airport for your charter flight back to Antananarivo.
At Ivato International Airport, a staff member will help you board your flight home.
When you leave Madagascar, you will carry memories of its beautiful nature and wildlife that will stay with you forever.
