The 3 days Flying safari takes you to Kidepo valley national park; Africa’s true wilderness that was ranked by CNN among the most beautiful places in Africa. The flying safari saves you from the 10 hour long journey to this amazing park by road. You will have game drives, meet the Karamajong and visit the Kanangorok hot springs.
Day 1: Fly to Kidepo and an evening game drive
Be picked from the lodge where you will have spent the previous night. Get a simple briefing about the whole trip movement in transit to Kajjansi airstrip. You will charter or use a scheduled flight to kidepo valley national park. Upon arrival at Kidepo valley airstrip, transfer to the hotel for some relaxation and checkin. Later in the evening, go for an evening game drive in the park.
Kidepo valley national park offers the best game drive experiences in Uganda, the drive gives you spectacular views of the extensive savanna plains with doming mountains in the background. Also chances of spotting various wildlife species are very high.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive & the Karamajong People
Wake up to a palatable breakfast in the wild and head out for a morning game drive in Kidepo valley national park. Game drives here are ones that expose you to numerous wildlife species in just a few minutes at the start of the drive. Be guaranteed to spot the elephants, lions, cheetahs, warthogs, oribis, waterbucks, buffaloes, topis, zebras, graffes and many others.
Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the evening visit the Karamajong community. These are one of the most remote and undeveloped tribes in Uganda. Some of them still walk naked without clothes. A cultural performance is a guarantee as well as tasting the local delicacy that the Karamajong kitchen has to offer. Returning to the lodge will be in the evening just for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Visit Kanangorok Hot Springs & Fly back to Entebbe
On this last day, still wake up very early in the morning, have breakfast and visit the Kanangorok hot springs in Kidepo. From here fly back to Entebbe, to either a lodge of your choice or even straight to the airport for your onward flight back home.
