Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Airport to Arusha
Welcome to your 10-Day Best of Tanzania Safari. You will meet and greet our company representative on arrival at the airport for pick up. He will then drive you to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can take a brief tour around Arusha city to see the local markets. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at your hotel.
Day 2: Game drive in Arusha National Park
Your 10 days safari begins with a visit to Arusha National Park. After your breakfast, the driver will pick you up and you will hit the road. This park is relatively small but has amazing scenic views and landscapes. It is home to the second highest peak in Tanzania, Mt. Meru.
You will embark on a game drive with chances of spotting giraffes, zebras, and buffaloes. You might also see monkeys, elephants, warthogs, and bushbucks. Leopards live here too, though they are rarely seen. Later in the evening, drive back to your hotel in Arusha for dinner.
Day 3: Cultural Tourism Experience in Mulala Village
After breakfast, drive to Mulala Village. This is a typical rural setting on the slopes of Mt. Meru surrounded by beautiful views. You will be in the humble hands of the women of Agape Women’s Group. They will take you through various economic activities that help fight poverty.
You will have guided tours to coffee and banana farms. The women will show you how they make cheese, sew clothes, and keep bees for honey. The views of the plains in the distance are wonderful. You can also have a walk in the forest reserve. After a good lunch prepared by the ladies, you will drive back to Arusha.
Day 4: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
Your wildlife safari proceeds to Tarangire National Park. After a delicious breakfast, your driver will take you to the park with a break for lunch along the way. You will have an afternoon game drive in the home of thousands of African elephants. Tarangire is famous for its giant baobab trees and over 500 species of birds. Other animals to look out for include lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, zebras, and buffaloes. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at your camp or lodge.
Day 5: Drive to Lake Manyara National Park
Famous for its tree climbing lions, Lake Manyara National Park is an exciting part of the 10-Day Best of Tanzania Safari. After your breakfast, you will depart Tarangire for Lake Manyara for thrilling game viewing. You will have your packed lunch with you for an afternoon game drive. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, impalas, giraffes, and hippos. You can also see thousands of flamingos that make the lake look pink. After the drive, proceed to your lodge for dinner.
Day 6: Transfer to Karatu
This is a full day of cultural and community tourism. Your driver will take you to Mto wa Mbu Village after breakfast. Visit rice farms and banana plantations where you can taste sweet fresh yellow bananas. You will also visit an open air studio to see lovely paintings made by the local youth. After a delicious local lunch, you will continue your journey to Karatu via a scenic road. You will arrive in the early evening for dinner.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater tour and Game drive
It is time to explore one of the natural wonders of the world. After a fresh morning breakfast, you will drive to the crater rim and descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Day 8: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

You will stop at the Olduvai Gorge to learn about human evolution. Then, proceed to the Serengeti for an introductory afternoon game drive. Day 9: Full day game drive
You will have a full day game drive in the wild. You can choose to carry a picnic lunch or go back to the lodge for a break.
