Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Travel from Windhoek to Okonjima
Your guide will meet you in Windhoek and give a short briefing before the trip starts. You will drive in a 4×4 safari vehicle to Okonjima Nature Reserve, which is known for leopards, brown hyenas, and other animals. When you arrive, go on a guided nature walk, then enjoy dinner and stay overnight.
Day 2: Visit Etosha National Park
After breakfast, explore more of Okonjima. Later, drive to Etosha National Park. You will enjoy sunset views over a waterhole and might see animals such as elephants, lions, giraffes, and wildebeest.
Day 3: Full-day Safari in Etosha
Spend the whole day exploring the eastern part of Etosha and the Onguma Nature Reserve. You may see lions, leopards, springbok, zebras, and many birds. You might also go on a short guided walk to spot smaller animals.
Day 4: Drive to the Caprivi Strip
Start early and travel about seven hours through changing landscapes to the Caprivi Strip, also called the Zambezi Region. Stay overnight in a lodge near the Kavango River.
Day 5: Explore the Kavango Region
Spend the day exploring the Kavango Region and nearby parks. Activities may include game drives, boat rides, fishing, short hikes, and visits to local villages.
Day 6: More of the Caprivi Strip
Leave your lodge early and continue exploring the Caprivi Strip. A key stop is Nkasa Rupara National Park, home to large groups of elephants and buffalo.
Day 7: Day in Nkasa Rupara National Park
Enjoy a full day in Nkasa Rupara Park. You can go on both day and night game drives, take a boat cruise, walk with a guide, or visit a local village.
Day 8: Travel to Chobe National Park
After breakfast, leave Namibia for Botswana. Stop in Katima Mulilo before going to your lodge near Kazungula, close to Chobe National Park. Relax and enjoy dinner at your lodge.
Day 9: Safari in Chobe
Chobe is known for its large numbers of animals. Start the day with a game drive to see elephants, buffalo, and other animals. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise to see hippos, crocodiles, and birds along the river.
Day 10: Visit Victoria Falls
Travel from Chobe to Zimbabwe to visit Victoria Falls. Cross the border and check in at a hotel or lodge near the falls.
Day 11: Explore Victoria Falls
Take a guided walk at Victoria Falls for great views and photo chances. You can also choose other activities like a helicopter ride, game drive in Zambezi National Park, or try rafting, bungee jumping, or kayaking.
Day 12: Departure
After breakfast, your guide will take you to the airport for your flight home. This marks the end of your 12-day safari through Namibia, Botswana, and Victoria Falls.
