This journey takes about 8 to 9 hours of driving. You will pass through beautiful scenery with many plantations and savannahs. You will stop at the Uganda equator. This is a special point where you can stand in both the North and South Pole at the same time. You will have lunch in Mbarara town and dinner at your lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking adventure and Batwa community tour

Breakfast will be served and then you will head for a briefing before the trekking begins. This is an important part of the 10-Day Gorillas, Masai Mara & Serengeti Safari. You will learn the rules for the forest, meet your park guide, and have the chance to hire porters to help with your bags.

The trekking will begin and can last for several hours. This includes one full hour that you will spend in the presence of a gorilla family. While walking, there is a lot to spot, such as small primates and many bird species. After the trek, you will visit the Batwa people to learn about their local culture.

Day 3: Head back to Kampala and fly to Nairobi, Kenya

Leave early in the morning and head back to Kampala. You will have a stop at the equator for lunch. Once you arrive, you will head to the airport to fly to Nairobi, Kenya. Meet your next driver guide who will take you to your hotel. This is the beginning of a new part of your adventure.

Day 4: Head to Lake Nakuru and game drive

After breakfast at the hotel, head to Lake Nakuru National Park. It is located in the west of Kenya and covers a large area. This park is famous for being the home of thousands of pink flamingoes.

When you arrive, you will go for a game drive. This offers you a chance to explore the protected area. You will look for animals like the Rothschild giraffes, cape buffaloes, and olive baboons. You might also see waterbucks, hippos, monkeys, zebras, and lions. You will spend the night at a safari lodge.

Day 5: Game drive and head to Masai Mara

Have a morning breakfast which will be followed by a transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve. There are many good moments you will encounter, such as a picnic lunch in the wild and a beautiful sunset. You might even enjoy a bush breakfast. Arrive and head to the lodge for your dinner.

Day 6: Full day in Masai Mara

Spend the whole day on the sixth day of your safari taking part in game drives. You will encounter different wildlife, including big and small mammals. You will see many birds and plants. Animals that are often spotted include lions, cheetahs, elephants, and rhinos. You will also see buffaloes, wildebeests, giraffes, and zebras. If the timing is right, you will witness the annual wildebeest migration. After enjoying the beautiful scenery, head back to the lodge.

Day 7: Head to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania

Leave Masai Mara and cross the border into Tanzania to enter Serengeti National Park. This is a unique place where the great annual wildebeest migration begins its journey toward Kenya between May and October.

There is a lot to see here, such as the Big Five animals and the big cats. You will also see primates and unique plants. This border crossing is a major part of the 10-Day Gorillas, Masai Mara & Serengeti Safari. Once you arrive, head straight to your lodge for dinner.

Day 8: Full day in Serengeti Savannah plains

Just like in the Masai Mara, you will head out for a full day of exploration in the Serengeti. You will go deep into the park. A perfect spot to see animals is at the Grumeti River. This area is a hub for animals like hippos, crocodiles, and elephants. You can also see zebras, topi, and gazelles. You have the option of taking a hot air balloon safari for a view from above. Head back to the lodge in the evening.
