6-Day Adventure in Zambia, Botswana & Zimbabwe

Travelers will visit Mosi Oa Tunya National Park in Zambia, which is famous for the big five animals and many other wildlife. In Botswana, they will explore Chobe National Park to see more animals.

The trip will end in Zimbabwe with a visit to Victoria Falls, adding a special highlight. Visitors will also have many chances to take great photos in these amazing places.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Zambia, rhino walk and game drive in Mosi Oa Tunya National Park

Guests will be picked up by a professional guide from their hotel in Lusaka. The group will then travel about seven hours to Mosi Oa Tunya National Park. After arriving, check in at the lodge and enjoy a local meal while taking in the lodge’s peaceful setting.

In the afternoon, take a rhino walk in the park where you can see these large animals up close and take photos. Later, at sunset, go on a game drive to spot the other four of the big five animals. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Cross to Botswana, drive to Chobe National Park, Chobe River sunset boat cruise

Start the day with an early breakfast at the lodge. Then cross the border into Botswana and travel about one hour and sixteen minutes to Chobe National Park. Drive slowly through the park to spot animals on the way to the lodge. Relax at the lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, take a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River.

You will see many rare birds such as secretary birds, African fish eagles, turacos, and many others. You will also see plants and other wildlife unique to the park. Return to the lodge at twilight for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Morning and evening game drives in Chobe National Park

Enjoy a tasty breakfast before starting a morning game drive. Explore the grasslands and look for animals, especially the big cats. After the morning activity, return to the lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, go on another game drive to see more animals, including the big five.

You may also spot smaller animals like genets, caracals, spotted hyenas, and aardvarks, which are rare but interesting to see. Return to the lodge at sunset to relax. Dinner will be served later, followed by an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Zimbabwe, tour of Victoria Falls, and dinner cruise

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive about one hour and fourteen minutes to Zimbabwe. Upon arrival, check into a lodge near Victoria Falls and relax while enjoying views of the plants and falls from a distance.

Enjoy a local meal before taking a tour of Victoria Falls. The falls are the most famous waterfalls in Africa and offer great chances for photography and sightseeing. End the day with a dinner cruise on the Zambezi River, watching birds and the riverbank scenery at sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Helicopter view of Victoria Falls, guided tour of the falls, and Boma Cultural Dinner

Start the day with breakfast at the lodge. Take a helicopter ride for an aerial view of Victoria Falls, giving a clear and exciting perspective of the falls. This is a great chance for photos and videos, creating lasting memories. After the flight, return to the lodge for lunch and relax while enjoying the nearby nature.

In the afternoon, visit the Boma cultural village to experience local dances and traditions. The Leya people are known for their lively performances, which often encourage visitors to join in. After the show, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure through Victoria Falls airport

Enjoy a final breakfast at the lodge before checking out. Transfer to Victoria Falls airport to catch your flight home. This marks the end of your 6-day safari.
