Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek
Meet your guide at the airport and drive to your hotel in Windhoek. Spend the day relaxing or shopping for any items you may need for the trip. Have dinner at your lodge and rest for the night.
Day 2: Drive to Okonjima
Take a 3-hour drive north of Windhoek to Okonjima and the AfriCat Foundation. This area is known for leopards, brown hyenas, and other large animals. Spend time watching wildlife and learning about conservation efforts.
Day 3: Travel to Etosha National Park
Leave Okonjima and drive through towns like Otjiwarongo and Tsumeb to reach Etosha National Park through the eastern gate. Check in at your lodge, enjoy a meal, and rest.
Day 4: Game Drive in Etosha
Go on an early morning game drive. You may see animals like elephants, zebras, jackals, oryx, giraffes, and lions. After lunch, continue your afternoon game drive before heading back to your lodge.
Day 5: Drive to Rundu
Travel northeast from Etosha to Rundu, a key town in the Kavango region. It’s a long drive through beautiful countryside. Relax at your lodge after arrival.
Day 6: Travel to Kongola
After breakfast, head to Nkasa Rupara National Park, also called Mamili National Park. Activities include a game drive and a boat cruise. Watch for zebras, elephants, lions, buffaloes, and more.
Day 7: Game Drive & Cultural Visit
Start the day with a game drive, then visit the Living Museum to learn about local culture. Return to the park in the afternoon for more wildlife sightings.
Day 8: Cross into Botswana
Drive to Kasane, where four countries meet: Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. This area is close to Chobe National Park, home to many elephants. Enjoy a game drive and a sunset boat cruise.
Day 9: Safari in Chobe National Park
Take morning and afternoon game drives in Chobe. Look out for lions, giraffes, hyenas, elephants, zebras, and many birds. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on the river.
Day 10: Day Trip to Victoria Falls
Visit Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. On the way, stop for photos and enjoy a guided tour of the area. You can also take part in optional activities like zip-lining, gorge swinging, or a helicopter ride.
Day 11: Travel to Nata
After breakfast, drive to Nata. Check in at your lodge and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. You may take a short tour or relax by the pool.
Day 12: Drive to Maun
Travel to Maun, a village near the Okavango Delta. It’s a busy place for safari trips and flights to Moremi Game Reserve.
Days 13–14: Explore Moremi Game Reserve
Spend two full days exploring Moremi. The reserve is home to many animals like lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes, impalas, and over 500 bird species. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives.
Day 15: Travel to Ghanzi
Leave Moremi and drive to Ghanzi through Maun. Once you arrive, enjoy activities like rhino tracking, game drives, or a visit with local Bushmen. End the day with a sunset drive.
Day 16: Return to Windhoek
Drive back to Windhoek, about 550 kilometers. Stop for lunch along the way and enjoy the changing views as you head to the city.
Day 17: Departure
After breakfast, your guide will take you to Hosea Kutako International Airport. After checking in, you will catch your flight home, ending your 17-day safari through Namibia, Botswana, and Victoria Falls.
