Detailed 5-Day Kruger National Park Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Kruger Park, South Africa
Leave from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and travel to your safari lodge. Relax there.
After relaxing, go on an afternoon safari through Kruger National Park. See many animals with your trained South African guide.
Day 2: Morning Game Drives & Sunset Game Drive
Go on a special guided game drive in the morning. This drive lasts 3 to 3.5 hours. You will likely see many animals becoming active. You can also watch the sunrise over the untouched bush.
Today, look for the Big 5 animals: elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and rhinos. Also look for antelopes, giraffes, and many other animals.
Drive back to the lodge to relax. Later in the afternoon, go on a sunset drive. Spend about 3 hours exploring Kruger. Spot predators starting to hunt and animals eating in the cooler afternoon.
Day 3: Game Viewing & Night Drives
Enjoy a long game drive through Kruger’s wild areas. Today, you will see more animals, including white rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, impalas, buffaloes, lions, duikers, steenbok, hyenas, wild dogs, honey badgers, genets, African wildcats, jackals, civets, aardwolves, and birds.
