One of the most special places in Somaliland is Laas Geel. These caves are decorated with colourful rock paintings from the Neolithic period. The art is very well preserved. Some people say the caves are guarded by spirits, and the drawings show scenes of people and animals in unique styles. Berbera, an old port town on the Red Sea and Indian Ocean, and the busy camel market in Hargeisa, one of the biggest in the Horn of Africa, are also highlights.

Day 1: Hargeisa & Laas Geel to Berbera
We will pick you up from your hotel or directly from Hargeisa International Airport. In Hargeisa, you will visit the Livestock Market, the Central Market, the Civil War Memorial, and other popular sites in the city.
From Hargeisa, we drive to Laas Geel, which means “Camels’ Waterhole.” Experts say it is one of the most important rock art sites in Africa. The paintings are thought to be about 10,000 years old. These rock shelters show scenes of animals and people, giving a look into the early history of the area.
After the visit, we continue to Berbera, a town by the sea. You can relax on the beach and spend the night at a hotel by the shore.
Day 2: Berbera Tour & Return to Hargeisa
After breakfast, we will take you on a tour of Berbera. You will see the old part of town, which has many buildings from the Ottoman and British times, along with several mosques. You can also relax at the beach and enjoy fresh seafood. There is also an optional boat trip where you can try snorkeling or diving.
After the visit, we will drive back to Hargeisa. The tour ends here. Depending on your schedule, we can take you to your hotel or to the airport for your flight.
