14 DAYS GRAND MOROCCO TOUR ITINERARY FROM CASABLANCA.–

On this 14-day and 13-night Morocco tour, you will visit many beautiful places across the country. Starting in northern Morocco, you will see Casablanca, Rabat, Chefchaouen, the Roman ruins of Volubilis, Meknes—the capital of the Ismaili dynasty—and Fes, Morocco’s cultural capital.

In the south, you will explore Ifrane, the Cedars Forest, Midelt, Ziz Valley, the market town of Rissani, Erfoud (known for fossils), the Sahara Desert in Merzouga, camel rides, a desert camp, sunset and sunrise in the dunes, Todra and Dades Gorges, the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the High Atlas Mountains, the Tizi n-Tichka Pass, and end with guided tours in Marrakech and Essaouira. The tour finishes in Casablanca.

Day 1: Casablanca

We will pick you up from the airport, port, or your hotel in Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic center. We will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the biggest in Morocco, located on the coast.

After lunch, we will continue exploring the city and visit the famous Corniche. Overnight in a hotel in Casablanca.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Assilah

After breakfast, we drive along the coast to Rabat, the current capital of Morocco. We will visit highlights like the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas.

After lunch, we continue to the seaside town of Assilah, where we spend the night.

Day 3: Assilah – Tangier – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we head to Tangier, also known as “the Bride of the North,” where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea.

On the way, we stop at the Cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel. After lunch, we travel through Tetouan and the Rif Mountains, with scenic stops, before arriving in Chefchaouen. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 4: Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we explore the blue-painted town of Chefchaouen, located in the Rif Mountains. We walk through the old Medina, full of blue doors and narrow streets.

After lunch, we hike to the Spanish Mosque, where you can enjoy views of the whole town. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

We leave Chefchaouen and head to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO site with mosaics, columns, and arches. Then we drive 30 km to Meknes, an imperial city, to visit Bab al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal Stables, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Afterward, we drive to Fes for an overnight stay in a riad.

Day 6: Fes City Tour

We explore Fes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and a cultural and religious center. We begin at the Royal Palace gate and continue into the old Medina, guided by a local expert.

We visit Bab Boujloud (the blue gate), Medersa Bouanania, Najjarine Fountain, the tanneries, and the Qaraouin Mosque and University, the oldest in the world.

We also visit the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), then head to a viewpoint for a full view of Fes before returning to the riad.

Day 7: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars Forest – Midelt – Merzouga

After breakfast, we drive through Imouzzer to Ifrane, known for its alpine houses and snow, and often called the Switzerland of Morocco. We visit the Cedars Forest to see Barbary macaques, then stop for lunch in Midelt.

Afterward, we pass through the Ziz Valley and reach Merzouga in the Sahara. You will ride a camel across the dunes and stop for sunset before arriving at a luxury desert camp.

Enjoy Berber music around the fire. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Day 8: Merzouga Region Exploration

Wake early to see the sunrise, have breakfast, then return to Merzouga by camel. Today, we explore the region by off-road vehicle.

We visit an old kohl mine, meet nomads in a tent and share tea, then go to Khamlia Village to enjoy music and dance from people of sub-Saharan origin.

After lunch, we walk in a palm grove and visit the wild lake (Flamingo Lake). Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

After breakfast, we drive to Rissani, a lively market town. Then we visit a fossil workshop in Erfoud and continue through Touroug and Tinjdad to the Todra Gorges, a canyon popular with rock climbers. We stop for lunch, then visit the “monkey fingers” rock formation and a viewpoint over the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

Day 10: Dades – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, we visit Rose Valley, where locals sell rose products. We drive through Skoura palm groves to Ouarzazate and visit the movie studios.

Then we head to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site used in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

We cross the Tizi n-Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, stopping for lunch and photos, before arriving in Marrakech. Overnight in a riad.

Day 11: Marrakech City Tour

After breakfast, we tour Marrakech with a local guide. We visit Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Madrasa, and walk through Morocco’s largest souk.

After lunch near Jemaa el-Fna square, we visit the Koutoubia Mosque and the Majorelle Garden. Free time in the evening. Overnight at your accommodation.

Day 12: Marrakech – Essaouira

After breakfast, we drive to Essaouira, stopping to see goats climbing argan trees. Once in Essaouira (formerly Mogador), we visit the fishing port, old ramparts, and the Medina. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 13: Essaouira – Marrakech

After breakfast, we return to Marrakech, enjoying the views along the way. In the evening, enjoy a walk around Jemaa el-Fna square. Overnight in a riad.

Day 14: Departure

On the last day, depending on your flight time, we will drive you to the airport in Marrakech to end your 14-day Morocco tour from Casablanca.
