Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Your safari guide will meet you at your hotel in Nairobi. After a short chat and introduction, take a helicopter flight to Amboseli National Park. The journey takes about 1 hour and 28 minutes. On arrival, enjoy lunch and check in at your lodge. Relax and take in the views of Kenya’s wild landscape.
In the evening, take a nature walk around the lodge. You may see animals like warthogs and baboons, and different birds that visit the area. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Amboseli & Optional Masai Village Tour
Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge. Then go on a morning game drive in Amboseli where you can see animals that live in the park and get a clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro in the background, perfect for photos. Return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, continue with another game drive. Later in the evening, you can choose to visit a nearby Masai village. Those who don’t want to go can stay and relax at the lodge. The village visit includes meeting the Masai people and watching local dances. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha & Evening Boat Cruise
After breakfast, fly from Amboseli to Lake Naivasha. The flight takes about 1 hour and 25 minutes. On arrival, enjoy lunch at your lodge and relax with the lodge’s facilities.
In the evening, go on a boat cruise on the lake. You may see hippos, crocodiles, and birds such as African Fish Eagles, paradise flycatchers, hornbills, secretary birds, and crowned cranes.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. The trip takes about 1 hour and 52 minutes. When you arrive, take a short drive through the park to see animals like hyenas, leopards, zebras, waterbucks, elands, and giraffes.
Have lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, go on another game drive to explore more of the park. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 5: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and take a helicopter flight to Masai Mara. The flight takes about 2 hours and 10 minutes and gives you a view of forests, hills, and plains along the way. Have lunch at your lodge on arrival.
Later, take a guided nature walk with rangers. Enjoy the dry grasslands, cross small streams, and appreciate the peaceful environment. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara, Balloon Safari, Game Drive & Village Tour
After breakfast, start the day with a hot air balloon ride. From above, you can see the Masai Mara landscape and wild animals like wildebeests and zebras. It’s an experience you will not forget.
After lunch, go on an afternoon game drive to see more animals. In the evening, visit a nearby Masai village to meet the local people, enjoy traditional dances, and learn about their culture.
Day 7: Masai Mara to Nairobi
After breakfast, pack your bags and check out of the lodge. Take a helicopter flight to Nairobi. The flight takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Once in Nairobi, continue to your next destination. This will mark the end of your Kenya Wildlife Safari.
