Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Helicopter Flight to Masai Mara from Nairobi and Evening Game Drive
Your driver-guide will pick you up from the airport or a meeting point in Nairobi. You will begin your safari with a short briefing, then take a helicopter flight to Masai Mara.
In the afternoon, go for a game drive to begin your adventure. On the way, enjoy views of the Rift Valley escarpments, which are great for photography. Later, head to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive
Today, spend the whole day on game drives across the Masai Mara plains. You will carry packed lunch and eat it in the bush as you watch wildlife. Look out for the annual wildebeest migration along with zebras and other animals.
You may see dik-diks, bat-eared foxes, caracals, aardwolves, mongooses, baboons, monkeys, warthogs, lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalos, and more. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Fly to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, fly to Lake Naivasha National Park, which is known for its many bird species. The flight takes about 5 to 6 hours.
On arrival, go for an evening game drive and look out for hippos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, lions, gazelles, bushbucks, waterbucks, and more. After the game drive, head to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Naivasha to Lake Nakuru and Game Drive
After a morning game drive in Naivasha to spot early animals, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. In the afternoon, go for a game drive where you may see giraffes, zebras, elephants, kudu, and other animals.
Later, check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Boat Cruise and Fly to Nairobi
Enjoy a 2-hour boat cruise on Lake Nakuru. You will see birds such as flamingos and animals like buffalos, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, waterbucks, and wildebeests.
After the cruise, take a helicopter flight back to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at the airport, marking the end of your 5-day safari.
