Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
You will be picked up in Nairobi by a professional guide in a comfortable safari vehicle. You’ll take a short helicopter flight to Amboseli, which takes about one hour. After arrival, check in at your lodge and have lunch after some time to relax.
In the afternoon, go on a game drive in the central part of the park, especially along the Longinye swamps. This area is great for seeing animals that come to drink water, such as elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and crocodiles. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Amboseli
After an early breakfast, go on a morning game drive in the eastern part of the park near the OI Okenya swamps. This area is good for spotting birds and animals. You may see marabou storks, secretary birds, francolins, turacos, and shoebills.
Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, head west to the area near Observation Hill for another game drive. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Travel to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, take a helicopter flight to Lake Naivasha. Enjoy the beautiful views during the flight. Once you arrive, check in at your lodge and relax with amenities like a swimming pool, Wi-Fi, and nice views.
After lunch, enjoy some free time. In the evening, go on a game drive in the Naivasha wilderness. You may see animals like buffaloes, bushbucks, impalas, and elands.
Day 4: Explore Lake Naivasha & Crescent Island
After breakfast, enjoy an early morning game drive. Then, head to the lake to watch birds along the shore before taking a boat cruise to Crescent Island.
On the island, explore the wildlife sanctuary and see animals like zebras, giraffes, hippos, and waterbucks. Return to the mainland at sunset and drive back to the lodge to relax.
Day 5: Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive takes about 2 hours. Once there, explore the park and see animals like hippos and crocodiles along the lake shore.
Check in at your lodge and have lunch. In the evening, you may take an optional walk around the lodge to see birds and nearby animals.
Day 6: Game Drive & Boat Cruise in Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, go on a morning game drive through the park. Look out for animals like elephants, buffaloes, elands, gazelles, baboons, and impalas.
You will also visit the lake shore to see thousands of flamingos and take photos. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise to see crocodiles, hippos, and many birds. In the evening, go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Travel to Masai Mara
After breakfast, take a helicopter flight to Masai Mara. The flight takes about 2 hours. Arrive at the airstrip and continue to the lodge for check-in.
After lunch, relax at the lodge or walk around the area to take photos and possibly spot wildlife nearby.
Day 8: Hot Air Balloon Tour & Game Drive
After breakfast, take a hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara. You’ll see animals and grasslands from above. This is a great way to see wildebeests migrating.
After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive to see more animals, especially the Big Five and many birds.
Day 9: Game Drive & Masai Culture Visit
Start the day with an early breakfast. Then, take a full morning game drive in the Mara Triangle, an area known for wildebeests and the Big Five.
Return to the lodge at noon for lunch. In the afternoon, visit a local Masai village. You will learn about their culture and way of life. In the evening, go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10: Return to Nairobi
