Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

When you arrive at Cairo Airport, a representative will meet and assist you. After finishing all the arrival procedures and collecting your luggage, your private guide will take you to a 5-star hotel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Relax at the hotel until dinner.

At night, enjoy your first taste of Egypt with a special dinner on the Nile. You will see local shows, belly dancing, and folklore concerts while your guide shares interesting stories about Egypt. After dinner, return to the hotel to rest.

Day 2: Cairo & Giza Pyramids

After breakfast, start a full day of sightseeing with your expert guide. Visit the Giza Pyramids Complex, built by the 4th dynasty in 2600 BC. The Great Pyramid was built by Pharaoh Khufu in 2570 BC. It is the oldest and most complete of the ancient wonders. It stands 138.5 meters tall and was made of 2.3 million limestone blocks weighing about 2.6 tons each. It has its own courtyard and large interior chambers.

Next, see the Great Sphinx, a symbol of power and wisdom. It was built by Pharaoh Khafre between 2558 and 2532 BC to guard the pyramids. The Sphinx has a lion’s body and a human head. Between its paws is the Dream Stele of Pharaoh Thutmose IV from 1401-1391 BC.

Visit the Valley Temple, built by the fourth dynasty, where bodies were mummified using a sacred ceremony called the opening of the mouth.

Then visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to ancient Egyptian art and treasures created over 5000 years. Here you will see famous items such as the hanging obelisk, the statue of Ramses II, statues of King Senusret, and many more.

Enjoy lunch at a luxury Egyptian restaurant. Afterward, visit the Saqqara Step Pyramid, built by Pharaoh Djoser between 2670 and 2650 BC. This pyramid has six steps and a large courtyard and inspired the design of the pyramids at Giza.

Explore the ancient city of Memphis, founded in the 31st century BC by King Narmer. Memphis was the first capital of Egypt and was protected by the god Ptah, the patron of art and craft.

In the evening, you will be taken to the airport to fly to Hurghada. Check into a 5-star hotel and rest for the night.

Day 3: Free Day in Hurghada

Spend the day relaxing on the beach or exploring the city on your own. Stay overnight at your hotel in Hurghada.

Day 4: Diving in Hurghada

After breakfast, enjoy a scuba diving tour with a trained instructor. See the colorful coral reefs and learn about underwater life. Return to your hotel to rest.

Day 5: Desert Safari

Start your day with breakfast, then take a desert safari ride on a quad bike. Enjoy the desert views and a BBQ dinner before heading back to the hotel.

Day 6: Nile Cruise from Luxor

After breakfast, you will be picked up and driven to Luxor in a private air-conditioned vehicle to start your Nile cruise. Visit Karnak Temple on the East Bank with your guide. Karnak is one of the largest and most important archaeological sites. Built over many years from 1971 BC to 30 BC, it was dedicated to the gods Mut, Khonsu, and Amun. See the famous hypostyle hall and many shrines.

Board your 5-star luxury Nile cruise and enjoy lunch on board. In the evening, visit Luxor Temple by night. This temple, built around 1400 BC, was a royal coronation site and the center of the Opet Festival. Great rulers like Ramses II, Amenhotep II, and Alexander the Great left their marks here. Return to the cruise for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: West Bank Luxor

Visit the West Bank to see the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built between 1479 and 1458 BC. This temple is a fine example of classical Egyptian architecture and art.

Explore the Valley of the Kings, where 63 tombs of pharaohs from the 18th to 20th dynasties are found. Famous pharaohs such as Seti I, Ramses I to X, Amenhotep I, Tutankhamun, and Hatshepsut were buried here. The walls inside the tombs tell many stories.

See the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues built by King Amenhotep II (1391–1353 BC). Each statue is about 18 meters tall and shows many carvings about the king’s life and achievements.

Enjoy lunch and dinner onboard the cruise ship and prepare for the next part of your journey.

Day 8: Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples

Start your day with breakfast on board. Then, your local tour guide will take you on a horseback tour to visit Edfu Temple. The temple of Edfu is one of Egypt’s largest and best-preserved temples. It was built between 237 BC and 57 BC on the site of the famous battle between the sky god Horus and the god of chaos, Set. The temple shows the religion, language, and stories of the ancient Egyptians through its carved art.

Lunch will be served on board before we continue to the next stop: Kom Ombo Temple. This temple stands on the Nile’s banks and is unique because it honors two gods, Haroeris and Sobek. The walls show many carvings of medical tools used by ancient Egyptians. After the visit, you will return to the Nile cruise and travel to Aswan for dinner.

Day 9: Aswan Historical Sites

After breakfast, your guide will take you to visit famous places in Aswan, the capital of Nubia. The Aswan High Dam was built between the 1960s and 1970s to stop flooding and to create electricity for Egypt’s industries.

The Unfinished Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut was meant to be the tallest obelisk in the world. It was carved from stone but broke before completion.

The Philae Temple is a well-preserved site telling the story of Isis and Osiris. Built between 380 and 362 BC, it honors Isis, the mother and healer, wife of Osiris, and mother of Horus, the god of victory. You will return to your cruise for lunch, dinner, and to stay overnight.

Day 10: Abu Simbel Temples & Flight to Cairo

You will get breakfast boxes and check out from the hotel. Your guide will drive you in a modern air-conditioned car to Abu Simbel Temple. This well-kept temple was built by Ramses the Great around 1264 BC. It honors several gods and marks the first known peace treaty in history from 1247 BC. After the visit, you will return to Aswan for lunch, then take a direct flight to Cairo. You will be transferred to a 5-star hotel to stay overnight.

Day 11: Cairo’s Religious & Cultural Sites

Start your day with breakfast, then meet your Egyptologist guide to visit the Egyptian Museum. This museum holds some of Egypt’s most famous art and artifacts from 5,000 years ago.

After lunch in central Cairo, visit more sites: The Mosque of Amr Ibn Al Aas, the first mosque built in Africa in 641 AD, located in Fustat, Egypt’s first Islamic capital.

The Hanging Church, built in the 5th century AD, is a symbol of the Christian community in Cairo. It stands 30 feet above the ground on old Roman fortress walls.

The Ben Ezra Synagogue is a rare religious site built in 882 AD, originally a church later turned into a synagogue. It has unique art and rare old books.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization shows more than 50,000 artifacts and 20 royal mummies, telling Egypt’s long history. It is located in Fustat.

Walk through Al Muizz Street, a cultural and commercial area dating back to the 10th century AD, with many cafes and museums.

Finally, visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a famous market founded between 1382 and 1389 AD. Here, people come from all over the world to buy clothes, souvenirs, perfumes, and more.

Day 12: Cairo’s Islamic Landmarks

Today you will visit important Islamic sites in Cairo. Start with Salah El Din Citadel, built between 1176 and 1183 AD. It served as the government center for 700 years and houses art galleries, museums, and mosques.

Visit the Alabaster Mosque, also called the Mosque of Mohammed Ali. Built between 1830 and 1848 AD, it is known for its beautiful Ottoman style and can be seen from many places in Cairo.

After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Sultan Hassan Mosque. Built between 1356 and 1363 AD, it is a masterpiece of Mamluk architecture with impressive art.

Then visit Al Rifai Mosque, built between 1819 and 1912, which serves as the royal tomb for descendants of Mohammed Ali. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 13: Day Trip to Alexandria

You will be picked up in a private air-conditioned car with your guide to visit Alexandria’s top sites.

The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa are unique underground tombs used by a Roman family between the 2nd and 4th centuries AD. The three floors mix Roman, Greek, and Egyptian styles.

Pompey’s Pillar is a large granite column carved between 298 and 302 BC. It was built to honor Emperor Diocletian and stands near the Serapeum ruins.

The Citadel of Qaitbay was built between 1477 and 1479 AD to defend Egypt’s northern border. It was built on the ruins of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was destroyed in the 11th century.

Enjoy lunch at a fish restaurant before visiting the Alexandria Library. Opened in 2002, the library holds 8 million books and many rare items. You will spend the night at your hotel in Cairo.

Day 14: Departure from Cairo

After breakfast, a representative will take you to Cairo airport on time for your flight home, ending your Egypt tour package.
