In Cairo, you will explore famous places like Khan El Khalili Bazaar, Cairo Citadel, and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. You will also see the temples and monuments in Luxor, Aswan, Karnak, Hatshepsut Temple, Valley of the Kings, Philae Temple, and Edfu Temple. Enjoy fun activities like snorkeling and desert safari for a memorable adventure.
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo & Dinner Cruise
When you arrive at Cairo Airport, our representative will help you with passport control, luggage, and portage. You will be taken by private air-conditioned car to your hotel. In the evening, we will pick you up for a dinner cruise.
You will enjoy dinner with a belly dance show and a folklore band, including the “Tannoura spin” performance. After the cruise, you will return to your hotel for the night.
Day 2: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Museum & Saqqara
After breakfast, your private Egyptologist guide will take you to the Giza Pyramids Complex. This area was built in 2600 BC by the 4th dynasty.
The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the only wonder of the ancient world still standing. Inside are the Queen’s Chamber, King’s Chamber, Grand Hall, and more.
The Great Sphinx, shaped like a lion with a human head, was carved from a single limestone block. It was built by King Chephren and later had a steel plaque added by Thutmose IV.
The Valley Temple was used for mummification and purification of royal bodies.
The Grand Egyptian Museum holds many treasures like the Hanging Obelisk, Ramses II Statue, statues of Kings and Queens, and the Victory Column of King Merneptah.
After lunch at a pyramid or Nile view restaurant, visit the Saqqara Step Pyramid. This pyramid was the first of its kind and was built by Pharaoh Djoser and his architect Imhotep.
You will also visit Memphis, the first capital of Egypt, founded by King Menes in 3200 BC. After the tour, return to your hotel for the night.
Day 3: Travel to Aswan & Sightseeing
Have breakfast and check out. We will take you to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, you will meet your guide and visit:
The High Dam, built between 1960–1970, which changed Egypt’s economy and agriculture.
The Unfinished Obelisk, which shows the skill of ancient workers but was never finished due to cracks.
The Philae Temple, built in 280 BC and moved to Agilkia Island during the 1960s–70s UNESCO campaign. It tells the story of the god Osiris.
You’ll check in to your 5-star Nile cruise, enjoy lunch and dinner onboard, and spend the night.
Day 4: Abu Simbel Temples
Start early with breakfast boxes and head with your guide to Abu Simbel. The temples were built by Pharaoh Ramses II in 1200 BC to honor the gods and celebrate his victory at the Battle of Kadesh.
The main temple faces the sunrise during the Sun Festival on February 22 and October 22. The smaller temple honors Queen Nefertari.
Day 5: Kom Ombo & Edfu Temples
After breakfast, visit the twin temples at Kom Ombo, built between 180 BC and 47 BC. They are dedicated to Sobek and Horus the Elder and include medical and astronomical details from ancient times.
Next, visit Edfu Temple, built between 237 BC and 57 BC. It is dedicated to Horus and tells stories of his battle with Set.
Enjoy lunch and dinner on the cruise, then sail to Luxor and spend the night onboard.
Day 6: Luxor Temples & Transfer to Hurghada
After breakfast, check out from the cruise. Your guide will take you to:
Karnak Temple, the biggest temple complex in Egypt, built over 2,000 years and dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.
Valley of the Kings, with 63 royal tombs including those of Tutankhamun, Seti I, and Hatshepsut.
Hatshepsut Temple, built in 1479 BC in honor of the sun god Amun.
Colossi of Memnon, two statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III with ancient decorations.
Lunch will be served at a Nile view restaurant. Later, drive to Hurghada and check in to a 5-star hotel.
Day 7: Snorkeling in the Red Sea
Enjoy a full day of snorkeling in the Red Sea. See colorful fish, coral reefs, and sea plants in clear water.
Day 8: Desert Safari & Bedouin Village
Join a desert safari on a quad bike. Visit a Bedouin village, learn their culture, ride camels, enjoy a BBQ dinner with soft drinks, and watch the sunset and stars before returning to your hotel.
Day 9: Free Day in Hurghada
You can explore Hurghada on your own or relax by the beach. Stay overnight in your hotel.
Day 10: Relaxation Day
Take another free day to relax or explore more of Hurghada at your own pace.
Day 11: Return to Cairo & City Tour
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and fly to Cairo. You’ll visit:
The Egyptian Museum, opened in 1901 and full of ancient treasures.
Salah El Din Citadel, built in the 1100s and home to museums and old buildings.
Mohamed Ali Mosque, made of alabaster and designed like Istanbul’s Blue Mosque.
National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), with 50,000 items and 28 royal mummies.
Al Muizz Street and Khan El Khalili Bazaar, perfect for seeing Islamic-era Cairo and shopping.
You’ll return to your hotel for the night.
Day 12: Final Departure
After breakfast, you’ll be taken to the airport for your flight home, ending your 12-day tour of Egypt.
