1 Day Djibouti Whale Shark Tour – The whale shark, also called the gentle giant of the sea, is one of the largest sharks in the world and one of the safest to swim with. Swimming near a whale shark is something you will always remember.
From November to January, the sea in Djibouti is full of plankton, which attracts many whale sharks to this coast. On a boat trip from Djibouti City to the Gulf of Djibouti, you may see dolphins as you cross the water.
As you get closer, you will begin to see the shape of the whale sharks in the sea. Seeing them for the first time is exciting, and diving in the water with them using a mask and fins is even more special.

Day 1: Swim with Whale Sharks
Your day begins at 7:00 a.m. with a short 5-minute drive from your hotel to Port de Pêche. There, you will board a boat and start a one-hour ride across the Red Sea, heading toward the best place to see whale sharks.
The trip starts at Fishing Point in Djibouti City and takes you to the coastal area of Ras Korali, where whale sharks gather.
You will have 45 to 60 minutes to swim and snorkel with these gentle sea animals. Lunch is served on the boat as you relax under the sun and enjoy the ocean views. Snorkeling and diving equipment is provided.
In the afternoon, you will have time to snorkel again and explore coral reefs. The warm and clear water is perfect for swimming and enjoying the sea.
The tour ends at 5:00 p.m., and you will return to your hotel to refresh and get ready for dinner.
