Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel
Upon arrival, you will be received by our driver guide who will greet you, take you through the briefing about your stay in Kenya. He will later transfer you to the hotel where you will have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Maasai Mara and game drive
After your breakfast, our driver guide will pick you from the hotel in Nairobi and transfer you to Maasai Mara. You will have a stopover at the gate of Maasai Mara to have a fascinating view of the great African Rift Valley.
Head to the park arrive at your lodge accommodation at lunchtime, check-in the lodge, have lunch and then go for evening game drive. You will be searching for lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, gazelles, antelopes, among other wildlife. You will return to the lodge after sunset for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 & 4: Full day game in Maasai Mara National Reserve
In these two days, you will have enough time to explore the beauty of Maasai Mara. You will capture all the moments starting from the morning when animals are very active till late evening when the nocturnal start chipping in for night duties. You will search for the Big 5 of the jungle and these are; lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants and rhinos.
There are endless chances of spotting other animals like giraffes, gazelles, antelopes, impalas, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, wildebeests, birds, butterflies, crocodiles, hippopotamus, and also different animal view points. You will also have an extra chance to spot the mighty migration of wildebeests and zebras traversing River Mara. This is the largest animal migration that happens annually in the whole world, this migration always attracts predators like lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals and vultures.
Admire how lions, cheetahs and leopards hunt. You retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Naivasha for a boat cruise
Arise in the morning for breakfast, checkout and transfer to Lake Naivasha; you will arrive in the afternoon for check-in at the lodge, have lunch and thereafter you go for a boat cruise, you will cruise through numerous schools of hippos, crocodiles, spot birds since the lake gives an incredible birding experience, you will spot various species of butterflies on the lake shore. After the sunset, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: To Hell’s gate national park – full day game drive
On this day, you will rise in the early morning for breakfast, get your lunch packed and head to Hell’s gate national park for a full day of game viewing. Meet plenty of zebras, elands, buffaloes, gazelles, herds of giraffes among others, enjoy picnic lunch at a scenic view point, proceed with your game drive till late evening, retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park
You will rise in the morning, enjoy delicious breakfast and head to Lake Nakuru National Park, you will arrive in the time for lunch, check-in, have lunch and later go for an evening game drive. During the game drive, you may spot numerous wildlife species including rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and lions as well as other wildlife species such as zebras, antelopes, hartebeests, Topis, birds among others.
Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Transfer to OI Pejeta Conservancy
You will have a fantastic breakfast, checkout of the lodge and head to OI Pejeta Conservancy, this is the only place in Kenya where you can find chimpanzees. Arrive in the afternoon hours, check-in the lodge, have lunch and head for an evening game drive.
Visit the chimpanzee sanctuary where you will see how chimpanzees behave, how they play, head to the jungle to see other wildlife like lions, leopards, impalas, hartebeests, gazelles, among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9: OI Pejeta Conservancy to Samburu National Park.
Take an evening game drive. Wake up in the morning, have a delicious breakfast, head to Samburu National Park and arrive in the afternoon for check-in and enjoy delicious lunch. Head for an evening game drive, where you will spot unique animals like buffaloes, antelopes, lions and ostrich. Retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10: Game drive and drive to Aberdare National Park
Wake up early in the morning to spot animals when they are very active; find big herds of buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, elephants and predators winding up with their night duties. Later return to the lodge, for late breakfast and check-out of the lodge.
Have a picnic lunch as you’re heading to Aberdare National Park. You will arrive in the evening, for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 11: Full day game drive in Aberdare National Park
You will have a scrumptious breakfast in the morning, have your lunch packed and get lost in the wilderness to search for herds of elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions and rhinos which are the Big 5 of Africa’s jungle, you will spot other wildlife, you will enjoy your picnic lunch, then later you will visit Thomson falls which is the best spot for photographs. Retire to the lodge in the evening, have dinner, relax and have a peaceful night.
Day 12: Aberdare national park to Nairobi and departure
Wake up to a sweet breakfast, enjoy the aura of the lodge as you bid farewell to the 12 Days Kenya Wildlife Safari. You will check-out of the lodge and head to Nairobi. Have lunch as soon you arrive in Nairobi, and later the driver guide will either drop you either at the airport or hotel depending on the time of your flight. This will mark the end of your 12 Days Kenya Wildlife Safari.
