Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu Reserve. Afternoon Game Drive
A professional guide will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi and take a helicopter to Samburu National Reserve. The flight takes about six hours. When you arrive, check in at the lodge and enjoy a good lunch.
After lunch, go on an afternoon game drive in Samburu. You may see animals like lions, leopards, jackals, hippos, elephants, and buffaloes. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park (Visit Nyahururu Waterfalls)
Have breakfast at the lodge before sunrise. After breakfast, fly from Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park, which takes about two hours.
Enjoy the flight and look out for animals and towns along the way. When you arrive at Lake Nakuru, check in at the lodge and have lunch.
In the afternoon, visit the Nyahururu Waterfalls. Take photos, enjoy the view, and spend time by the water. The waterfalls offer a peaceful experience. After the visit, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Fly to Masai Mara Reserve
After an early breakfast, go for a guided morning game drive in Lake Nakuru. You may see many birds and animals, especially the pink flamingos along the shores of the lake.
After the game drive, fly to Masai Mara National Reserve. The flight takes about 1 hour and 58 minutes. On arrival, enjoy lunch at the lodge and check in to your room.
Spend the evening enjoying views of the Masai Mara. Later, have dinner at the lodge and stay overnight.
Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara Reserve
Start the day with an early breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, go on a morning game drive in the Masai Mara. You will have the chance to see the Big Five animals and cheetahs hunting in the grasslands.
Stay alert during the drive to spot as many animals as possible. Around midday, return to the lodge for lunch, or enjoy a picnic lunch in the park.
In the afternoon, go on another game drive to see more animals and birds. You may see wildebeests if the great migration is happening. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Return to Nairobi
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge and take in the morning views of the Mara. After breakfast, check out and fly back to Nairobi. The flight takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
