Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe
Arrive at Victoria Falls Airport, where a professional guide will welcome you. The guide will drive you to your lodge, and you will have lunch there. After lunch, you will go on an aerial tour of Victoria Falls. This flight gives a great view from above and is a good chance to take beautiful photos.
After visiting the waterfalls, you will drive to Hwange National Park in the evening. The drive takes about 1 hour and 44 minutes. On arrival, you will go straight to the lodge and check in. You can relax and enjoy the peaceful views around the lodge. Dinner will be served at sunset, followed by an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day in Hwange National Park
After breakfast, you will go on a guided morning game drive in the Dandari and Shapi areas. These parts of the park are known for sightings of the Big Five. You may also see African wild dogs, spotted hyenas, elands, warthogs, and genets.
Return to the lodge at noon for lunch. In the afternoon, go on another game drive in the central, Main Camp, and Ngamo areas. This will give you more chances to see the park’s animals and birds such as paradise flycatchers, African darters, green and blue turacos, ground hornbills, bee-eaters, egrets, and African fish eagles. In the evening, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight rest.
Day 3: Game Safari & Cultural Visit in Hwange National Park
Enjoy breakfast early in the morning, then go on a game drive. You will see many animals and enjoy the natural beauty of the park, including streams and thick vegetation.
Return to the lodge at midday for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Nambya people, also known as the Leya. They are among the oldest communities in this area and are known for their traditions and cultural shows, which you will get to experience. After the visit, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Hwange National Park to Victoria Falls for Departure
Have breakfast early in the morning, then check out of the lodge. You will drive back to Victoria Falls Airport, which takes about 1 hour and 44 minutes. From there, you will catch your flight back home.
